The PreVenture program was originally developed and tested by Dr. Patricia Conrod, Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Montreal, Canada. PreVenture introduces motivational pathways and coping skills based on the individual’s personality. Each year, all 8th grade students within the Plymouth Public Schools are surveyed by trained facilitators in order to identify program eligible youth and their unique personality profiles. Students who are identified to participate in the two 90-minute workshops associated with the program meet with trained Plymouth Public Schools staff members to understand the connection between their personality profile and their behaviors.
