Healthy Plymouth
Healthy Plymouth, a subcommittee of PYDC, has prevention programming to engage youth in free, meaningful activities outside of school. Here are some of our programs:
Terra Cura
As part of a community-wide initiative to build edible gardens in our town, Healthy Plymouth and Terra Cura, Inc. are looking for garden helpers this summer at the Plymouth Schools.
Opportunities Program
The Healthy Plymouth Opportunities Program (HPOP) is focused on providing learning opportunities for middle school and high school students that live in Plymouth.
April Vacation Program
YMCA High School Leadership Program
The Healthy Plymouth - Old Colony YMCA Teen Leadership Program is currently being offered to students of all grades at Plymouth North High School (PNHS) and Plymouth South High School (PSHS). They work together to promote peace in the community, conflict resolution and de-mystify the stereotypes that they may experience in their everyday life.
VPA Coffee House
The VPA is in its sixth year of hosting free Coffee House events at Memorial Hall where Plymouth high school students perform music of their choosing, in an atmosphere that is safe for experimenting artistically or mingling with friends and peers.
